Terrassa (Barcelona) 2013, June 7th. On June 18,2013 a Technical Conference on Sterile Manufacturing, organized by ISPE Spain, will be held at Telstar’s Corporate Headquarters and Life Sciences facility in Terrassa (Barcelona). This conference is focused on the latest developments in technologies, systems and methods linked to aseptic processes for the manufacture of sterile products. The formal presentations will deal with the benefits of integrated aseptic packaging systems, the qualification strategy of automated equipment for inspection of particles in ampoules and methods to define a contingency plan to minimize the risks associated with deviations in a lyophilization process.
Paul Stewart, Telstar’s General Manager Business Development Pharma & Biotech, will deliver the first presentation on the benefits of integrated aseptic packaging systems to sterility assurance. The application of automation and robotics to the aseptic packaging process can provide not only productivity benefits but also improvements in product quality, driven by reduced product manipulation and process intervention by clean room personnel. During this presentation, technologies involved in the process will be explained and various real installations will be reviewed.
The agenda for the conference includes a guided tour of Telstar’s technology center and the final assembly and test areas for Life Sciences equipment.
