Paragon Bioservices Hires New VP of Quality

Paragon Bioservices, Inc., a contract development & manufacturing organization (CDMO), has announced the appointment of Carolyn Phillips to the position of Vice President, Quality. Ms. Phillips will have oversight responsibility for all aspects of quality at Paragon directing quality associates and working closely with customers to ensure the highest quality standards.

As a Microbiologist, Ms. Phillips comes to Paragon with a wealth of knowledge and over 25 years of industry experience at leading companies such as BioReliance, Human Genome Sciences and most recently at Genzyme (a Sanofi Company). At Genzyme, she led four large quality control groups that included microbiology, chemistry, validation and operations. She has comprehensive knowledge of Quality and FDA guidelines and has demonstrated proven success in the areas of Quality Control, Validation, Compliance, remediation and implementation of Quality Systems and Contamination Control. Since 2007, she has served as a delegate to an ISO Working Group responsible for establishing standards for biocontamination control in cleanrooms. Ms. Phillips earned her B.S. in Biology (Magna Cum Laude with Distinction) from Georgia State University.
