We’re proud of our ISO 17025 accreditation as it reflects the broad scope of our capabilities. Also, it’s gratifying to know that we’re one of the very few labs, nationally, to hold accreditation for Elemental Impurities.” Quantex Laboratories’ President and CEO, James Menoutis, PhD, reacts to the lab’s accreditation achievement.
ISO 17025 accreditation is highly regarded, both nationally and internationally, as a reliable indicator of both technical competence and robust quality systems of a laboratory. Quantex’s accreditation process went smoothly and rapidly, a credit to the lab’s robust quality systems and the technical competency of its staff.
Why is ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation important?
How does a company determine which laboratory is capable of delivering accurate and precise results? The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has set the standards by which laboratories should be held. A laboratory that has achieved ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation has met this international standard of testing excellence by demonstrating technical competence, a robust quality system, precise and accurate tests, and suitably calibrated equipment. In fact, the ISO states, “Laboratory customers, regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies may also use ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in confirming or recognizing the competence of laboratories.”
