Berkshire Sterile Manufacturing Promotes Wigington to Vice President of Quality Control

Berkshire Sterile Manufacturing a provider of sterile filling and formulation services for clinical scale and small volume commercial drug and sterile medical devices, has announced the promotion of P. Devin Wigington to Vice President of Quality Control. Mr. Wigington will assume responsibility for analytical and microbiological activities at Berkshire Sterile. BSM is a fully compliant cGMP facility, which uses isolators for filling to ensure the highest sterility assurance for their client's programs.  BSM offers their clients sterile filling of vials, syringes and cartridges as well as analytical method development services, full ICH stability programs, and formulation scale-up expertise.  The position of the Vice President of Quality Control is integral to BSM's current and future offerings.

Mr. Wigington, 48, joined BSM in 2016 as Senior Director of Quality Control. Mr. Wigington was previously with VaxInnate as Director of Quality Control and Analytical Methods Development. Mr. Wigington received a Master's Degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Maryland.  Prior to his work with VaxInnate, Devin held QC management positions at ImClone Systems, Enzon Pharmaceuticals and Chesapeake Biological Laboratories. Devin will oversee a team of nearly a dozen laboratory professionals and has performed numerous development activities with BSM as well as in his prior employment capacities.
