Twist Bioscience announced the appointment of Mark Daniels to the newly-created position of chief ethics and compliance officer.
Daniels will maintain his current position as Twist Bioscience's general counsel, and in his expanded role, will oversee the company's ethics and compliance programs. He will continue to be integrally involved in providing guidance on wide-ranging aspects of the company's synthetic biology business.

Daniels joined Twist Bioscience in August 2016 with more than 25 years of experience as a legal officer with technology and biotechnology industry expertise at Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Twist Bioscience, Daniels was vice president, law and deputy chief corporate compliance officer at Broadcom in Irvine, California. He was a law clerk to Judge Dickran Tevrizian (ret.) on the Federal District Court in Los Angeles. He served as an adjunct professor of Law at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California where he taught Food and Drug Law. Daniels received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and his B.S. with honors from Cornell University.
