Sekisui XenoTech's Analytical Services Department Adds New Instrumentation

Waters Xevo G2 XS quadrupole mass spectrometer

Waters Xevo G2 XS quadrupole mass spectrometer

Sekisui XenoTech's Analytical Services lab provides researchers with custom method development and method validation, dose solution analysis, in vitro and in vivo metabolite profiling studies, small-molecule non-GLP bioanalysis and more utilizing specialized equipment. This includes automated Tecan liquid handlers for consistent sample preparation, AB Sciex API 2000 and API 3000 triple quadrupole, 4500 triple quadrupole, and API 4000 and 5500 QTrap MS/MS systems with Shimadzu Nexera or Waters Acquity UHPLC systems for high sensitivity analysis. View the list of analytical instruments here.

The newest additions to the lab are the Xevo G2-XS Qtof/Tof and Xevo TQ-S mass spectrometers.

The Waters Xevo G2-XS mass spectrometer is a high performance benchtop quadrupole time-of-flight (QTof) mass spectrometer for performing qualitative and quantitative experiments for both known and unknown analytes. The analytical sensitivity and selectivity of the G2-XS is a great addition to our in vivo metabolite profiling service offering, since it allows for the detection of even more low-level compounds for truly comprehensive qualitative information.

The Waters Xevo TQ-S mass spectrometer is designed to acquire sensitive, robust and dependable data at accelerated rates of acquisition for numerous analytes at varying concentrations. The system’s ion transfer electronics allow the TQ-S to acquire as many as 500 MRMs/sec without significantly reducing peak intensities in order to monitor for a wider range of analytes. The mass spectrometer equipped with an Acquity I-class UPLC system allows for fast chromatographic separations and reduced cycle times which is ideal for high throughput applications.
