Absorption Systems announced the acquisition of TGA Sciences, a contract R&D laboratory located in Medford, MA, just outside the pharma/biotech hub of Cambridge. TGA Sciences will become TGA Bioservices, a subsidiary of Absorption Systems.
The acquisition expands Absorption Systems' expertise in research and GxP assay development services as well as positions Absorption Systems closer to customers in the expanding Boston/Cambridge biotech hub.
Michael Settles, who founded TGA Sciences will continue to lead TGA BioServices as VP of Corporate Development. TGA BioServices has over 15,000 square feet of laboratory space, with analytical, R&D, bioassay, and immunochemistry labs as well as an animal facility that is AAALAC-accredited, USDA-registered, and OLAW-certified.
