Sinclair Research announced new operational leadership with the arrival of Michael Eliel as senior director of operations. The company has also named Anthony Rohr as consultant for special projects and management improvement.
Eliel will have responsibility for the company’s in vivo operational processes while driving the quality and efficiency of Sinclair’s research technical staff to keep pace with the growth of the company’s IND enabling toxicology business as well as overall growth. Eliel joins Sinclair Research from MPI Laboratories in Kalamazoo, Mich., where he grew through the ranks with positions in safety pharmacology, laboratory operations and managed more than 200 people. He has managerial experience in a regulatory toxicology environment and has managed an organization through times of explosive growth, which makes him uniquely suited to help Sinclair.
Rohr was the senior director of laboratory operations at MPI Laboratories before joining the Sinclair team. He started his career as a research technician and developed into an operational leader managing more than 600 staff members. Rohr is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and specializes in improving work flow and efficiency. He will be supporting the implementation of special projects and sharing his experience and expertise with electronic data capture systems.
“Mike and Anthony bring invaluable insight into the development of a highly functional operational team of research personnel,” said Alex Wakefield, vice president of research and operations. “They have proven experience in growing a research organization in both size and quality of service.”
