Marken announced they have developed an automated closed loop packaging solution that allows clinical trial materials to travel at any temperature to any destination with an integrated and automated packaging returns process. Marken is the only company that offers this closed loop service as a sole provider.
The service allows critical drug shipments, which travel with reusable and expensive packaging, to return to origin for reconditioning and repositioning with much more efficiency. Marken has collaborated with the packaging providers of temperature-controlled packaging solutions to develop this service. Marken's packaging inventory is tracked between origin and destination, and with the help of UPS' small package network, is returned to a central location where it can be repositioned as efficiently as possible.
The Marken closed loop service operates out of the Philadelphia, Frankfurt and Paris branches and plans are in place to expand to other locations in 2019.
