Worldwide Clinical Trials announced the appointment of Peter Lammers as Executive Vice President, Global Marketing and Commercial Operations.
An experienced life sciences business strategist and marketer with more than 30 years of experience working for pharmaceutical organizations and CROs, Lammers will champion Worldwide’s promise to improve the CRO experience for small to mid-sized pharmaceutical organizations and biotechs.
"I'm delighted to welcome Peter to the Worldwide team as we continue to cultivate an environment where smaller organizations can find the innovation, flexibility and senior team accessibility that is hard to come by in large, commoditized CROs,” said Worldwide President and Chief Operating Officer, Peter Benton. "Peter’s innovative approach to developing transformational business models could not come at a better time as we double down on our vision of becoming the world’s best midsized CRO."
Lammers will also spearhead Worldwide’s brand development - ensuring the customer is prioritized across the company’s commercial, scientific and operations teams.

Lammers joins Worldwide from Ironshore Pharmaceuticals, a North Carolina-based pharmaceutical start-up, where he oversaw commercialization launch strategy and brand positioning for a novel therapy in a highly competitive indication. Prior to that, he provided strategic vision and commercial advisory services for global companies like Veeva Systems and IQVIA. Lammers has also held senior leadership roles at Glaxo SmithKline PLC.
“Our scientific and medical grounding, when paired with a culture laser-focused on quality and customer service, presents a tremendous opportunity for Worldwide to redefine the CRO experience for small and midsized pharma and biotech sponsors,” said Lammers. “I am excited to apply my 30+ years of life science experience as a customer and as a service provider to improve every touchpoint with sponsors and deliver the best customer experience.”
Lammers holds a BS in business from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, and has completed leadership programs at the University of North Carolina, Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School.
