Rentschler Biopharma SE has announced the appointment of Dr. Günter Stempfer as the Site Head for the company's facility in Laupheim, Germany, effective December 1, 2023. In this capacity, Dr. Stempfer leads the Site Leadership Team in Laupheim and is a crucial member of the Global Leadership Team. His responsibilities at the Laupheim site include continually identifying opportunities for improvement, ensuring the reliable development and production of complex biopharmaceuticals for clients, and implementing innovative changes in coordination with the Extended Executive Team. Dr. Stempfer reports to Chief Operating Officer (COO) Christiane Bardroff.
Dr. Stempfer initially joined Rentschler Biopharma on January 1, 2022, as the Head of Global Strategic Development. Before that, he provided advisory services to the company in the production domain and led daily operations at the Laupheim site in close collaboration with the Company Leadership Team since the summer of 2021.
With over 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, Dr. Stempfer has held various leadership positions, including Site Head at Sandoz in Kundl, Austria; Project Director at Novartis in Huningue, France; and Director of Global TechOps at Polpharma in Poland. He is a recognized expert in development and production.
