Argonaut Manufacturing Services announced the appointment of Rick Hancock as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Rick is a biotechnology executive with more than 40 years of leadership experience in CDMO’s and pharmaceutical development companies and has served on Argonaut’s Board of Directors for the past nine years. Working closely with the Argonaut management team, Rick has been instrumental in guiding the company’s evolution from life sciences and diagnostics into drug product manufacturing and now takes over direct leadership responsibility for the organization.
Commenting on Rick’s appointment, fellow board member Paul Grossman, said, “Rick’s expertise and track record make him a great leader for Argonaut. He brings a rare combination of industry insight and operational excellence that reinforces our commitment to deliver premium services to our clients.”
As CEO, Rick will oversee Argonaut’s continued growth, including the expansion of its Carlsbad, CA campus. In October, Argonaut held a grand opening of its new drug product facility in Carlsbad. This new manufacturing site is equipped with an additional state of the art Annex 1 compliant isolator-based filling line capable of filling vials, prefilled syringes, and cartridges. This investment increases Argonaut’s commercial-scale capacity fivefold, significantly enhancing its ability to serve clients worldwide.
