Capricorn Scientific has expanded its European operations with a new 4,000m² logistics and infrastructure hub in Ebsdorfergrund, Germany. The new site is intended to enhance supply chain security, production scalability, and long-term customer support across regulated biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and cell therapy sectors.
Located near Marburg and Frankfurt am Main, with proximity to Frankfurt International Airport, the facility is positioned to support efficient national and global distribution of the company’s cell culture products. The expansion adds modular production and storage capacity, including temperature-controlled areas ranging from +2°C to +8°C and −20°C, as well as humidity-controlled ambient storage.
According to the company, the site incorporates access-controlled logistics areas and cGMP-aligned processes intended to meet regulatory standards for life science manufacturing. Planned future buildouts include additional space for liquid bag filling, expanded powder production, and dedicated R&D operations. The facility also includes office and collaboration areas to support integrated logistics and production workflows.
Capricorn Scientific expects to create up to 40 new positions over the next two years as part of the expansion. The investment is described as part of a broader effort to strengthen the company’s European infrastructure and support long-term operational growth.
The company reports that the new capabilities are designed to improve supply reliability, shorten lead times, and provide flexible production and delivery models for customers operating under framework agreements or long-term partnerships.
