Vector Science & Therapeutics has entered an exclusive licensing and manufacturing agreement with LyoGenesis Plus, a Wisconsin-based contract manufacturer specializing in lyophilization, to support production of its proprietary peptide portfolio.
Under the terms of the agreement, Vector will license its peptide delivery platform to LyoGenesis, while securing exclusive, long-term manufacturing rights for its products. The new arrangement replaces a previously disclosed option for Vector to invest in LyoGenesis, shifting the relationship to a commercial manufacturing and technology licensing model.
The platform incorporates a nanoscale delivery system designed to target peptides to specific tissues, with controlled release at the intended site of action. LyoGenesis will develop and manufacture these peptide products at its Mequon facility, which includes analytical testing capabilities for potency, purity, sterility, and contaminants.
The companies indicated that manufacturing capacity could scale to approximately 800,000 vials per month, depending on demand. All products are expected to be produced under current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) conditions.
Peptide therapeutics are an expanding segment of the pharmaceutical market, with applications across metabolic, oncology, and regenerative medicine. The agreement reflects increasing emphasis on manufacturing quality and supply chain control as peptide-based treatments move toward broader clinical and commercial use.
Vector plans to distribute its peptide products directly to physicians and clinics. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
