FAREVA Acquires Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Site in Türkiye

FAREVA has acquired a pharmaceutical production site in Lüleburgaz, Türkiye, expanding its manufacturing network and adding nearly 750 employees.

The Lüleburgaz site covers 338,000 square meters and is located near Istanbul. It has the capacity to produce up to 445 million boxes annually through a three-shift production schedule.

The facility manufactures solid, liquid, semi-solid and sterile pharmaceutical forms. It also has capabilities involving penicillin and cephalosporins.

Products manufactured at the site are distributed in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania, according to FAREVA. The acquisition also adds an established international client portfolio that includes pharmaceutical laboratories.

FAREVA said the site is located in one of Türkiye’s pharmaceutical regions and provides access to international markets. The company described the acquisition as an expansion of its pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

The Lüleburgaz facility has undergone international inspections and client audits and holds regulatory certifications, FAREVA said. The announcement did not name the prior owner of the site, financial terms of the transaction, the closing date or specific certifications held by the facility.

The transaction adds the site’s workforce, manufacturing capacity, technical capabilities and customer relationships to FAREVA’s operations.

Alexandre Bastit, chief executive officer of FAREVA’s Pharma & API Business Unit, said the facility’s location, production capacity, technical capabilities and client portfolio were factors in the acquisition.
