LGM Pharma has acquired Sannova Analytical, a contract research laboratory in Somerset, New Jersey, adding bioanalytical services and specialized impurity testing to its pharmaceutical testing business.
Sannova will retain its name and current management team. Its clients will continue working with the same scientists, qualified methods and contacts while gaining access to LGM’s active pharmaceutical ingredient sourcing, regulatory intelligence and market intelligence services.
The acquisition adds Good Laboratory Practice bioanalysis, including peptide and oligonucleotide testing, alongside genotoxic and nitrosamine impurity testing, extractables and leachables evaluations, and additional elemental impurity testing.
LGM said the purchase supports its strategy of building a U.S.-based analytical services platform alongside its ingredient sourcing business.
Sannova measures drug and metabolite concentrations in biological samples from preclinical and clinical studies. Its work supports pharmacokinetic, toxicokinetic, bioequivalence and immunogenicity programs, including tests for antibodies against therapeutic drugs.
The laboratory also supports biologics and cell and gene therapy development through immunoassay and PCR-based methods. It has completed more than 1,500 GLP studies and validates bioanalytical methods under the international ICH M10 guideline.
Sannova’s impurity services include testing for nitrosamines and assessing compounds that can migrate into medicines from packaging, manufacturing components and delivery devices.
The company has completed more than 3,500 analytical studies under current Good Manufacturing Practice standards. Its laboratory is registered to handle Schedule II through V controlled substances.
LGM Chief Executive Prasad Raje said the acquisition addresses client requests for bioanalysis and broader impurity testing.
