Piramal Pharma Solutions’ Pithampur manufacturing site in India has won the company’s annual Excellence in Patient Centricity Award for a digital dashboard connecting production and supply data with estimates of patient reach.
The company’s Pithampur Patient Awareness Council developed the dashboard through a project called “Beyond the Batch: Connecting Our Work to Every Patient.”
The Integrated Patient Impact Dashboard brings together supply, production and customer information previously held in separate sources. It tracks production volumes, monthly supply trends, contributions by product, potential patient reach and employee initiatives related to patient care.
According to the dashboard, the site supplies an average of 39.8 million units monthly across 24 products, with a potential reach of 34.08 million lives. The release presents that figure as potential reach rather than a confirmed count of individual patients receiving medicines.
The platform gives internal and external stakeholders visibility into manufacturing output and its relationship to medicine supply. Employees can use it to see how their work contributes to the site’s broader operations.
Piramal said consolidating the information has made trends easier to interpret and supported data-informed decisions at Pithampur.
Stu Needleman, the company’s chief commercial officer and chief patient centricity officer, said the project makes the relationship between manufacturing work and patient needs more visible across the organization.
Piramal has established Patient Awareness Councils at 15 sites globally. The groups organize employee education and initiatives focused on patients.
The annual award recognizes the council responsible for the year’s most impactful initiative.
