Alcami has promoted Robert Tragas to Vice President, Laboratory Services. In his expanded role, Tragas will lead laboratory operations across the CDMO's Research Triangle Park campus, overseeing analytical, biologics, microbiology and environmental monitoring functions.
Tragas joined Alcami more than 26 years ago and has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout the organization. His technical expertise, operational leadership and ability to execute complex scientific programs have played a central role in expanding Alcami's analytical and biologics capabilities.
The company said his leadership will focus on driving alignment, operational excellence and continued growth across the laboratory organization, and that as demand for biologics continues to grow, his leadership will support the scaling of those capabilities and the organization's next phase of growth.
