Pyramid Pharma Services Adds 13th Commercial Product

Pyramid Pharma Services has expanded a partnership with a longstanding biopharmaceutical customer to manufacture its 13th commercial product: a cartridge-based presentation of a therapy approved to treat rare blood cancers. The new program adds to Pyramid's portfolio of products manufactured for global supply.

The expanded partnership follows investments in Pyramid's Costa Mesa manufacturing campus, including a high-speed Groninger aseptic fill-finish line and automated device assembly capabilities through the Mikron platform.

The Groninger line supports aseptic fill-finish across vials, prefilled syringes and cartridges. The Mikron platform supports assembly of filled syringes and cartridges into autoinjectors and pen injectors. Together with labeling and packaging at its Southern California campus, these capabilities enable Pyramid to support customers from sterile drug product filling through device assembly and final packaging.

CEO Dirk Lange said Pyramid recognizes that customers' needs evolve as their products advance, and that its expanded aseptic fill-finish and automated device assembly capabilities allow the company to offer more integrated solutions.
