Discovery Life Sciences has appointed Greg Herrema as its new CEO. With over two decades of experience in the life sciences and industrial sectors, Mr. Herrema will lead the next phase of Discovery's growth. He takes over from Glenn Bilawsky, who guided Discovery's evolution into a global provider of biospecimen products and multi-omic lab services and has now announced his plans to step down.
Mr. Herrema comes to Discovery from a successful tenure at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he held roles as senior vice president and president of the global life sciences company's $8 billion+ laboratory supply distribution business. He previously led divisions including biosciences, analytical instruments, scientific instruments, and environmental instruments. Mr. Herrema launched his career at General Electric and is also active on various non-profit boards dedicated to land conservation and community engagement.
